Summary

Candidates will need to have a degree in Physiotherapy and HCPC registration, or due to qualify within the next 3 months. The responsibilities and duties below are a summary. Communication / Relationship Skills To communicate effectively with colleagues and MDT regarding patient care. To maintain accurate records in line with the standards and policies. To gather and disseminate information where appropriate. To manage potentially stressful, upsetting or emotional situations in an empathetic manner. Analytical / Judgment skills To carry out assessment and formulate treatment plans using clinical reasoning and evidence based practice. To work within your scope of practice and seek support when required. Personal and people development To attend all relevant training to maintain competency and confidence. To supervise physiotherapy students or therapy assistants. To participate in the appraisal scheme as an appraisee. Health, safety and security To complete relevant risk assessments and associated documentation/action. To demonstrate physical ability to carry out physiotherapy assessments and interventions including manual physiotherapy techniques. This involves frequent light to moderate physical effort. Education To participate in the professional development and training of self and other therapists. To undertake clinical reasoning and problem patient sessions. To participate in relevant training sessions as a recipient and facilitator. Research/Audit/Quality To evaluate your own clinical effectiveness. To undertake and present relevant evidence based projects. IT To be responsible for the accurate input of clinical information onto the trust IT system. Further information and general responsibilities To have responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of self and others at work. To ensure confidentiality at all times. To take part in the weekend service on a rota basis as required. There will be two stages of interviews for this vacancy. Stage one will be a written assessment on 5th October. If successful, you will then be invited to a face to face interview on 20th October.
