We are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in
Wolverhampton
who are looking for a motivated
Graduate Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience in a school environment while developing your understanding of
Special Educational Needs
and building skills for a future career in
teaching, SEN, educational psychology or wider education.
The Role
As a Graduate LSA, you'll work alongside teachers and the school's support team to provide personalised assistance to students with a range of additional needs.
You'll help students to
access the curriculum, stay engaged with their learning and develop greater confidence and independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing
1:1 and small-group support
to students with SEN
Supporting students to remain
focused, engaged and motivated
Encouraging students to develop their
independence and confidence
Students may have a range of additional needs, including
autism, ADHD and dyslexia.
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have:
A strong academic background, ideally a
2:1 degree or above
Patience, empathy and resilience
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable, but not essential.
Experience in tutoring, mentoring, volunteering, coaching or similar roles would be beneficial, but we're also keen to hear from graduates who can demonstrate the
right attitude, compassion and commitment
to supporting young people.
