Our partner school in the London Borough of Hillingdon is dedicated to supporting secondary students with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH). Supporting 11-19 year olds offering a varied curriculum with a strong focus on practical skills and enrichment opportunities. This is a great opportunity to be based in a brand new, purpose-built school, designed to meet the needs of the students and create a calm, supportive learning environment where they can thrive.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nurture Teacher to join their welcoming school community. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children with additional needs, delivering tailored lessons that support and inspire every child to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- To raise standards of student progress and achievement
- To be accountable for student progress and development within the Transition Department
- To be a role model of professionalism and good practice
- To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students in the Transition Department
Key Requirements
- Hold a recognised full teaching qualification such as QTS
- A clear understanding of the features of high-quality teaching and learning at KS3 and 4
- Experience of working with students with social, emotional and mental health needs
- Knowledge and experience of the national curriculum at secondary levels
