We are seeking a Payroll Service Coordinator to provide first-line support for employee payroll queries, ensuring all enquiries are logged, managed and monitored through to resolution.

​The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a high-quality payroll customer service experience for employees.

Job Description

We are looking for a customer-focused individual with strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

​This role will support the wider Payroll Service Team, helping to ensure payroll queries are resolved efficiently and within agreed service levels.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for employee payroll queries via phone, email and the query management system.

Log, manage and monitor payroll queries to ensure timely resolution.

Respond directly to queries or allocate them to the appropriate team for action.

Monitor and follow up outstanding queries to support a positive employee experience.

Ensure all payroll queries are resolved within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).

Support the wider Payroll Service Team during key payroll periods.

Monitor and chase outstanding payroll queries on a daily basis.

Deliver a high-quality payroll customer service experience to employees.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Demonstrable ability to provide first-class, professional customer service.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Good Excel, Outlook and general IT skills.

Confident in handling and working with data.

Ability to organise and prioritise workloads effectively to meet deadlines.

Team-focused, flexible and confident working independently.
