Cleaning Operative - Mitie
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring our client sites are clean, safe and welcoming for staff, customers and visitors.
As a Cleaning Operative, you will carry out a range of cleaning duties in line with the site specification, using the correct equipment, materials and cleaning methods. You will be expected to work independently, manage your time effectively and take pride in delivering a high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
-Carrying out daily cleaning tasks to the required standard.
-Cleaning offices, welfare areas, toilets, kitchens and communal areas.
-Dusting, vacuuming, mopping and sanitising surfaces.
-Replenishing consumables such as soap, toilet rolls and paper towels.
-Reporting any maintenance issues, damages or health and safety concerns.
-Ensuring cleaning equipment is used correctly and stored safely.
-Following all Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
-Maintaining good communication with site colleagues and management.
-Completing any required cleaning records or checklists.
-Providing excellent customer service and representing Mitie professionally at all times.
What We're Looking For:
-Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
-A good eye for detail and high cleaning standards.
-Reliable with good timekeeping and attendance.
-Ability to work independently and use initiative.
-Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
-Good communication skills.
-Flexible approach to duties and working hours where required.
