At the Orpheus Centre, we believe in unlocking potential through the arts, creativity, education and personal development. We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and resilient individuals to join our dedicated team as Learning Support Care Assistants (LSCAs).
This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people aged 18-25 with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities as they develop life skills, build confidence and work towards their future aspirations.
Salary: £25,633.87 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week | 44 weeks per year
Location: Godstone, Surrey

About the Role
As an LSCA, you will play a vital role in supporting learners throughout their educational, social and residential experiences. Working alongside tutors, therapists and support professionals, you will help learners achieve greater independence while promoting choice, dignity and inclusion.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting learners in educational, social and independent living activities.
Providing personal care and supporting intimate care needs with dignity and respect.
Encouraging the development of communication, employability and life skills.
Supporting learners with daily living tasks such as meal preparation, shopping, budgeting and attending appointments.
Assisting with off-site activities, work placements and community visits.
Acting as a positive role model and keyworker.
Maintaining accurate learner records and contributing to individual support plans.
Supporting learners with manual handling requirements where necessary.
