Summary

SEN TA – ASD Alternative Provision

Location: Waltham Forest, East London

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Long Term

Hours: 08:30–15:15

Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate

SEN TA to join an ASD alternative provision based within a welcoming mainstream school in

Waltham Forest. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated

SEN TA who is passionate about supporting children and young people with autism and additional needs.

The successful

SEN TA will work closely with experienced teaching staff to provide high-quality support to pupils with ASD, helping them to engage with learning, develop their independence and feel safe and supported throughout the school day.

As a

SEN TA, you will play an important role in creating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environment. You will support pupils both individually and in small groups, adapting your approach to meet a range of communication, sensory, behavioural and educational needs.

We are looking for a

SEN TA who is patient, resilient and able to build strong relationships with pupils. Previous experience working as a

SEN TA, particularly within an ASD, autism, specialist or alternative provision setting, would be highly advantageous.

The Role

The successful

SEN TA will:

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with ASD and additional needs.

• Work alongside teachers and support staff as a committed

SEN TA.

• Support pupils with communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.

• Help manage sensory and behavioural needs using a calm and consistent approach.

• Encourage engagement, independence and positive learning behaviours.

• Contribute to a safe, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.

About You

We are seeking a

SEN TA who:

• Has previous experience supporting children with SEN, ASD or complex needs.

• Understands the importance of consistency, patience and positive reinforcement.

• Can remain calm and confident when supporting challenging behaviour.

• Is enthusiastic, caring and committed to making a genuine difference.

• Works well as part of a wider school team.

• Is reliable and available for an immediate, long-term position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated

SEN TA to become part of a supportive mainstream school while gaining valuable experience within an

ASD alternative provision.

The school is looking for a

SEN TA who can start

immediately and commit to the role on a long-term basis. The working hours are

08:30–15:15, Monday to Friday, providing a consistent and rewarding opportunity for the right

SEN TA.

If you are an experienced

SEN TA looking for a long-term opportunity in Waltham Forest and are passionate about supporting pupils with ASD, we would love to hear from you.
