Summary

Drainage Sales & Operations Coordinator

Location: London

Salary: £31,000 - £36,000 plus commission

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Are you experienced within the drainage industry and confident speaking with customers, understanding their drainage problems and recommending the right solution?

Vector Recruitment Solutions are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Drainage Sales & Operations Coordinator to join a busy and growing drainage operation in London.

This role combines drainage knowledge, inbound sales and operational coordination. When customers contact the business with a drainage problem, you'll identify what they need, explain the appropriate service and costs, and convert the enquiry into booked work.

There is no cold calling or outbound prospecting. Customers are already contacting the business because they need help. You'll also follow up after engineers have attended site, discussing recommended remedial works, quotations and costs with customers to secure additional work.

The Role

You'll take ownership of customer enquiries and jobs from initial contact through to completion, including:

- Handling inbound enquiries for blockages, jetting, CCTV surveys, repairs and other drainage services

- Asking the right questions to understand the issue and recommending the appropriate service

- Explaining services, call-out charges and costs, converting enquiries into booked jobs

- Scheduling Drainage Engineers, CCTV Surveyors and other operational resources

- Reviewing engineer findings and discussing recommended repairs or remedial works with customers

- Following up quotations and securing approval for additional works

- Keeping customers updated and maintaining accurate job information within the CRM system

About You

We're looking for someone who combines practical drainage knowledge with strong customer service and commercial awareness.

You'll ideally have:

- Previous experience working for a drainage contractor, with a good understanding of jetting, CCTV surveys, repairs and remedial works

- Experience in scheduling, operations, customer service or sales

- Confidence discussing drainage problems, services, quotations and costs with customers

- A commercial mindset and the ability to turn enquiries and recommendations into booked work

- Strong communication, organisation and customer service skills

- Experience using CRM, scheduling or job management systems

You don't need to be a traditional salesperson. This could be an excellent next step for an experienced Drainage Coordinator, Drainage Scheduler, Service Coordinator or Drainage Sales Coordinator who understands the industry and is comfortable recommending and selling the right solution when customers contact the business.
