Summary
The Role
Environ Property Services is looking for an experienced and motivated Drainage Engineer to join our growing Drainage Division.
You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned and reactive drainage works across London, including emergency callouts, CCTV drainage surveys, high-pressure water jetting, drain repairs, patch lining, excavations, reinstatement works, and planned maintenance. You will be expected to deliver work safely, professionally, and to the high standards expected by Environ Property Services.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Drainage Operations
• Carry out reactive and planned drainage works across residential and commercial properties.
• Undertake high-pressure water jetting to clear blockages and restore drainage systems.
• Conduct CCTV drainage surveys and inspections using specialist equipment to identity issues in the drainage system and produce clear reports.
• You will be responsible for investigating our customers drainage problems to locate and diagnose any issues or faults in the system and will be required to carry out the necessary remedial works - This means that you should have a good technical and practical knowledge of drainage repairs.
• Carry out drain repairs, patch lining, drain lining, and excavation works.
• Install and repair underground drainage systems, manholes, gullies, channels, and associated pipework.
• Complete reinstatement works following excavations.
• Repair and replace rainwater goods and external drainage where required.
• Assist with leak detection and plumbing-related drainage issues where necessary.
• Determine whether any issues come as a result of a blockage or leak.
• Drive throughout London in order to produce on site drainage investigations.
• Produce basic drawings of sites that show all draining connectivity.
• Provide a professional, courteous, and knowledgeable service to clients.
• Clearly explain findings and proposed remedial works.
• Maintain excellent communication throughout each job.
• Complete risk assessments and dynamic point-of-work safety checks.
• Accurately record job notes, photos, materials and time; maintain van stock and equipment.
• Work closely with Coordinators, Supervisors, Operations Managers, and other divisions.
• Support colleagues on larger projects and emergency works.
• Assist with training Apprentice and Assistant Drainage Engineers where required.
CCTV Surveys & Reporting
• Produce clear and accurate CCTV drainage reports.
• Capture high-quality photographs and video footage.
• Accurately identify structural defects, blockages, root ingress, displaced joints, fractures, collapses, and other drainage defects.
• Submit reports and survey findings within required timescales.
• Provide recommendations for remedial works where appropriate.
Health & Safety
• Work in accordance with Company Health & Safety policies.
• Follow RAMS and safe systems of work.
• Wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Carry out dynamic risk assessments before commencing work.
• Report hazards, incidents, and near misses immediately.
• Maintain safe working practices around excavations, confined spaces, highways, and occupied properties.
Vehicle & Equipment
• Maintain Company vehicles, jetting equipment, CCTV units, locators, generators, and tools in a clean, safe, and serviceable condition.
• Carry out daily vehicle and equipment inspections.
• Ensure van stock levels are maintained and materials are replenished promptly.
• Report equipment defects immediately.
Administration
• Complete digital job sheets accurately and on time.
• Upload photographs, CCTV footage, and reports using the Company's CRM and job management systems.
• Record materials used and time spent on each job.
• Ensure all documentation is completed before leaving site.
