We are currently partnering with a residential care home situated in the heart of Matlock to find dedicated, compassionate care assistants for consistent Saturday and Sunday daytime shifts.

Main Duties:

• Delivering high standards of person-centred care, helping residents navigate their daily morning, afternoon, and evening routines with dignity and respect

• Providing sensitive and professional assistance with personal care, hygiene, and daily mobility needs

• Serving as a positive, friendly companion—engaging residents in meaningful conversations, recreational activities, and social events to elevate their daily quality of life

• Working collaboratively alongside an established multidisciplinary care team to monitor resident well-being and maintain a safe, secure environment

Candidate Requirements:

• Professional Background: Minimum of recent, verifiable experience working within a formal residential care home or comparable care environment

• Dependable Commute: Reliable transport logistics ensuring prompt and consistent arrival in Matlock for every scheduled weekend daytime shift

• Personal Attributes: A genuinely warm, patient, and resilient disposition complemented by a strong work ethic and proactive teamwork capabilities

To be suitable for this position you must have:

- An Enhanced DBS Certificate dated within the past 12 months or an older Enhanced DBS that is registered on the update service

- Up to date mandatory training certificates

- Full up-to-date CV

- A referenceable employment history with one reference referring to a minimum of 6 months of experience within a Residential Care Home.

If you do not have a valid DBS and/or training, do not worry as we can help you with this. We are happy to offer online training available at a subsidised fee and the certificates are yours to keep!

The shift times are from 07:45 to 20:00 on Saturdays and Sundays

You will be paid £13.50 per hour, with hours being paid weekly and holiday entitlement accrued on a F.T.E basis
