Summary
Female Domestic Abuse Support Worker
Location: Brecon
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £13.46 per hour
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday
We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to provide trauma-informed support to female survivors of domestic abuse across accommodation and community-based services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide emotional and practical support to victims of domestic abuse
- Complete risk and needs assessments and develop support plans
- Support clients to access housing, benefits, healthcare and other services
- Manage a caseload and provide community outreach support
- Deliver recovery-focused interventions and programmes
- Work with partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and safeguarding responsibilities
Essential Requirements
- Experience supporting vulnerable adults or families
- Understanding of domestic abuse and safeguarding
- Strong communication, advocacy and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a varied workload independently and as part of a team
- Good IT skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Desirable
- Experience in domestic abuse, housing, refuge or support services
- Experience delivering group work or recovery programmes
- Relevant Health & Social Care qualification
