SITE MANAGER – SOCIAL HOUSING / KITCHEN PROJECTS

Location: Preston

Start Date: 28th September 2026

Rate/Salary: £260 per day

Work: Full-time

Bamford Contract Services are currently recruiting for an

experienced Site Manager to oversee a social housing kitchen refurbishment project.

We are looking for a hands-on Site Manager with proven experience managing

social housing, kitchen refurbishment or planned maintenance projects, together with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple trades on site.

The Site Manager Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the project, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating

multi-trade teams on site

• Overseeing kitchen refurbishment and installation programmes

• Managing approximately

10 kitchens per week

• Coordinating subcontractors and trades

• Monitoring progress and ensuring programmes are maintained

• Carrying out regular site inspections and quality checks

• Ensuring all works comply with health & safety requirements

• Liaising with residents, clients, subcontractors and the project team

• Dealing with any site issues and resolving problems efficiently

• Maintaining site records and reporting on progress

• Ensuring works are completed to the required specification and standard

Site Manager Requirements

The successful candidate

must have:

• Previous Site Management experience

• Proven experience within

social housing / housing refurbishment

• Experience managing

kitchen refurbishment or kitchen installation projects

• Experience managing

multiple trades

• Ability to manage a programme of approximately

10 kitchens per week

Asbestos Awareness

Manual Handling

Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to manage a busy site and keep works progressing to programme.
