Summary

TPG DisableAids is looking for a practical, compassionate Full-Time Field Service Engineer to join our Herefordshire Wheelchair Service team.

As an award-winning family business with over 40 years of experience, we help elderly and disabled individuals maintain their independence. This rewarding full-time role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing manual and powered wheelchairs for local NHS service users across Herefordshire and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Field & Workshop Service: Carry out regular servicing, emergency maintenance, and repairs in service users' homes, schools, care homes, healthcare settings, and at our Hereford hub.

Troubleshooting: Respond to equipment breakdowns and efficiently diagnose electrical and mechanical faults.

Client Care: Deliver empathetic, high-quality customer service to vulnerable individuals during every visit.

Maintenance Logs: Keep clear, accurate daily records of completed repairs and routine service work.

Emergency Breakdown Cover: Attend end-of-day emergency call-outs when necessary so clients are never left stranded (paid at an enhanced rate of time-and-a-third).

Contract Details & Compensation:

Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Hours: 40 hours per week | 8:30am – 5:00pm (Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch break).

Salary & Benefits: Competitive rate, enhanced overtime (1.33x), up to 5% employer-matched pension, and full specialist training provided.
