Summary
A full job description is available but ideally the candidate would have experience, or a willingness to develop skills in : · Management of LTCs - Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease, COPD · Support and advise women requesting information relating to family planning needs and those presenting for cervical cytology consultations · Travel advice and vaccinations · Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations · Hypertension Management · Peak Flow Readings and Spirometry · Wound care, ulcer care and Doppler assessment · Removal of Sutures · New Patient Medicals and Urinalysis · ECG recordings · Venepuncture · Ear syringing · Chaperoning and assisting patients where appropriate who are being examined by another clinician · Assisting GPs with minor surgery and coil fittings · Requesting pathology tests, for example urine culture, swabs · Following agreed clinical protocols with referral to senior nurses or GPs as appropriate · Supporting housebound long term condition reviews and vaccination programmes such as Covid and Influenza · Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by senior nursing staff and GPs · Participate in the support and supervision of students and junior nursing staff in clinics. Referring any concerns or development needs to their mentor or clinical service manager.
