We're seeking a Head of Governance to lead our Governance Team and strengthen decision-making across mhs homes. You'll work closely with our Board, Committees, and Executive Team in this visible, influential position.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and developing our governance framework, policies and ways of working
- Ensuring effective Board, Committee and leadership meetings with clear, well-informed decisions
- Leading governance reporting to boards and committees
- Overseeing regulatory compliance, statutory registers, records and returns
- Strengthening risk management, assurance and internal audit arrangements
- Leading and developing a high-performing Governance Team
- Building trusted relationships with colleagues, Board members, regulators and partners
About You
- Strong experience in governance, risk and compliance from social housing, education, public sector, or another regulated environment
- Confident working with Boards and Committees
- Comfortable interpreting regulation and guidance
- Clear communicator and strong organiser who takes pride in accurate, high-quality work
- Supportive leader who develops others, builds confidence and creates continuous improvement culture
