The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced and passionate Qualified SEN Teacher to join an established primary school in the B3 area from September 2026.
This exciting opportunity will see you leading teaching within the school's dedicated SEN Hub, supporting pupils with a range of complex Special Educational Needs across the primary age range. Working alongside an experienced SENCO, Teaching Assistants, therapists, and the wider leadership team, you will deliver highly personalised learning that enables pupils to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The school has a well-established reputation for inclusive practice and offers a nurturing environment where every child is supported through personalised learning, structured routines, and a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of complex SEN needs
* Develop and implement personalised learning programmes linked to EHCP outcomes
* Lead teaching within the school's dedicated SEN Hub, supporting pupils to reach their full potential
* Create a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence
* Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, adapting learning to meet individual needs
* Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, therapists, parents, and external agencies
* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and communication through consistent support strategies
* Contribute to annual reviews, target setting, and the wider development of SEND provision within the school
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* PGCE
* Previous experience teaching pupils with SEN and complex needs within a primary or specialist setting
* Strong understanding of EHCPs, differentiated teaching, and inclusive classroom practice
* Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD), SEMH, communication needs, and associated learning difficulties is highly desirable
* Excellent classroom management, communication, and relationship-building skills
* Passion for delivering personalised education and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing
