Lecturer - Accelerate to join our dedicated team and support students in overcoming barriers to education, developing confidence and progressing towards positive futures.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with learners who require additional support, helping them build the skills, resilience and aspirations needed to thrive in further education, employment and adult life.

As a

Lecturer within our Accelerate provision, you will deliver engaging and inclusive learning programmes that meet the individual needs of learners. You will create a supportive environment that promotes personal development, wellbeing, independence and achievement, while ensuring learners are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed for successful progression.

Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents/carers and external agencies, you will play a key role in supporting learners to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

As a Lecturer - Accelerate, you'll:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons that engage and motivate learners
  • Support students in developing confidence, independence, employability and essential life skills
  • Monitor learner progress and implement effective interventions to maximise achievement and success
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider College teams to support positive learner outcomes
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate learner records and meet all assessment and administrative requirements
  • Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and safeguarding in all aspects of your work

Taking Teaching Further

The College actively engages with the Education & Training Foundation's Taking Teaching Further scheme to recruit industry professionals to teach within Further Education.

As industry professionals offer our students industry experience and insight, we support our unqualified teachers to learn 'on the job'. You will be given full support throughout your development to fully qualified teacher status. Whilst in employment you would be enrolled onto the Level 3 Award in Education and Training. After completion you can choose to move be onto our Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training qualification. This is a great way for experienced professionals to achieve a recognised teaching qualification whilst in employment.
