YSGOL EMRYS AP IWANALN Intervention Co-ordinatorPart Time: 30 hours per week, Term Time plus 5 training daysSalary: G03 Point 6-7, Actual Salary £18,132 - £18,421Start Date: as soon as possibleAbility to communicate in Welsh: DesirableThe governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning ALN Intervention Coordinator to plan, prepare and deliver effective personal or small group, learning experiences in literacy (and possibly some numeracy) in consultation with the ALNCo and other colleagues. Applicants should ideally have experience in working with learners with a variety of special and compensatory needs. They must be flexible and adaptable as the needs of learners based in this facility are numerous and unpredictable on a day to day basis.Job Purpose:• To plan, prepare and deliver effective personal or small group, learning experiences in literacy (and possibly numeracy) in consultation with the ALNCO and other colleagues.• To work under the guidance of the ALNCO to ensure all ALN learners make good progress.• To support the learning of identified learners in all year groups in order to raise their levels of attainment and progress• To support the management of learners with social/emotional and medical needs as a member of the support team.• To be able to support testing.• To ensure that the department has well developed ICT systems to support and track learning.• To liaise with parents/carers on the progress of identified learners i.e. attending parents’ evenings, providing information on progress.• To support learners with communication and interaction needs, cognition and learning needs, behaviour and social development needs and sensory and/or physical needs.• To promote positive learning behaviours for learners with a diverse learning needs.• To be responsible for supporting a positive learning environment for learners at all times.To apply for this role: Please complete the school’s application formClosing date for applications is midday on Friday 25th September 2026.Further information and application form can be found on Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan's website.Conwy is committed to safeguarding - qualifications and references will be verified.
