Term time only.TEACHING ASSISTANTLeighton CP School is looking for a truly extraordinary Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant— someone who doesn’t just support in the management of a classroom but helps create a world of wonder for our youngest learners. We need an educator who understands that for these little learners, play is the ultimate language of discovery, creativity, and connection.We are looking for someone who can:• Spark imagination, by transforming everyday phonics and counting into interactive games, treasure hunts, and unforgettable storytelling sessions.• Work together with our class teacher to design hands-on learning experiences, both indoors and out in nature.• Nurture and be a warm, reassuring presence for children taking their very first steps into school life.• Encourage children to develop independence, resilience and confidence, while supporting them to embrace challenge.You will have:• A genuine, infectious enthusiasm for working with Foundation aged children.• The ability to bring energy, warmth, and a sense of fun to every single day.• A patient, nurturing approach, with the ability to build trust with our little Leighton learners and their families.• A solid understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality• A willingness to train to HLTA level, which will be supported by the school.Hours - Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings 8:45-12pm and Tuesday afternoon 1-3:15pm - 15.25 hours per week. As there is also a vacancy for Lunchtime Supervisor, (see separate advert), Monday to Friday, 12.00 – 1.00pm, we hope to combine these two vacancies of Teaching Assistant and Mid-Day Supervisor position, giving a total of20.25 hours per week.Applications need to be in by 9am on Monday 5th October, shortlisting on Tuesday 6th October and interviews will be held on Monday 12th October.Registration with the EWC is essential for the post.The successful candidate would start as soon as possible
