After School Care Manager2.30pm – 6.00pm Monday to Thursday – 14 hours per week x 38 weeks (Term Time Only). The staff team is experienced and enthusiastic and committed to providing an environment which supports active • Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Primary School is looking for a warm, enthusiastic and highly organised After School Care Manager to lead our Cool Club.• We are looking for someone with creativity, enthusiasm and plenty of ideas to make Cool Club a place that children look forward to attending, offering an exciting and varied range of activities across our indoor and outdoor spaces.About Our Lady of the RosaryOur Lady of the Rosary is a welcoming Catholic primary school, guided by our mission of Joy, Excellence and Service. Our recent Ofsted inspection described the school as “a loving and inclusive community where everyone is welcome” and highlighted the “warm relationships between pupils and staff” which create a calm environment where pupils feel known and valued. Cool Club is an important part of our wider school provision. The After-School Care Manager will ensure that children are safe, happy and well cared for at the end of the school day, while providing plenty of opportunities for play, creativity, physical activity and time together. Activities should be carefully planned to reflect the different ages, interests and individual needs of the children attending.We are looking for someone who:• enjoys working with children and can build warm, positive relationships • understands that children have different needs and can adapt their approach, activities and support accordingly • can plan and provide a varied range of play and activities that reflects children’s different ages, interests and needs • can lead, organise and support other staff effectively • can create a welcoming and inclusive environment where children feel safe, valued and enjoy their time at Cool Club • is able to use their initiative and respond appropriately to the different situations that can arise within a busy childcare setting • is organised and reliable, with high expectations for safeguarding, safety, routines and standards • can manage the practical day-to-day requirements of the provision, including resources, food and maintaining appropriate records • can build positive, professional relationships with parents and carers and communicate confidently with them • is proficient in English and Maths; GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent qualifications, are desirable • is proficient in IT and able to access the pupil database system and print attendance records and make and cancel bookings. • will support and contribute to the Catholic ethos and mission of our school. First Aid and Food Hygiene training are also desirable, although training can be provided.The After-School Care Manager will have an important role in ensuring that Cool Club provides high-quality care alongside a varied and engaging programme of play and activities. They will lead the staff working within the provision, oversee its day-to-day organisation and ensure that the needs of individual children remain at the heart of the club.We can also offer a generous pension scheme and access to a well-being package.Please note: We are also recruiting a Breakfast Club Manager for our Early Risers Club.
