Supply Teacher – Primary (KS1 & KS2) Carlisle & Penrith Area
Flexible, Ad hoc Assignments | Short & Longer Term Cover Pay from £120 per day (dependent on experience)
Hannett Hale Recruitment are working on behalf of several welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across the Carlisle and Penrith area to recruit flexible and reliable Supply Teachers for a range of upcoming assignments.
These roles involve covering absent members of staff on a day to day, short term, or longer term basis. It’s an excellent opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety, want to broaden their experience across different schools, or are looking for a better work–life balance.
About the Role
As a Supply Teacher, you will:
• Deliver pre planned lessons across KS1 and KS2
• Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment
• Adapt confidently to different school settings
• Build strong relationships with pupils and staff
• Provide high quality teaching and uphold school policies
Assignments can range from single day cover to multi week placements, depending on your availability and the needs of our partner schools.
Requirements
To be considered, applicants must have:
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Recent, relevant experience teaching in Primary settings
• Strong classroom management and a flexible, proactive approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning
All applicants must complete our full vetting and compliance process, including:
• Enhanced DBS check
• Recent, relevant references
• Full safeguarding and registration checks in line with DfE guidelines
