Electrical Maintenance Engineer – FM Service Provider – Commercial Building – Tottenham Court Road, London – £45,000

CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to work within a commercial building a short walk from Tottenham Court Road, London. The successful candidate will join an established 4-man engineering team and will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical and general building maintenance.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and a proven track record in electrical building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £45,000, plenty of overtime, further training and excellent opportunities for career progression.

Hours of Work

- Monday to Friday – 2 weeks - 07:00am to 16:00pm / 1 week 10:00am - 19:00 pm...

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the building

- Carry out fault finding and repairs on electrical systems

- Electrical testing and inspection

- Lighting and emergency lighting maintenance

- Small power and socket repairs

- Basic electrical installations and remedial works

- Monitor and maintain electrical plant and equipment

- Respond to electrical breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests

- Monitor the BMS systems

- Carry out basic mechanical and plumbing duties where required

- General building fabric maintenance

- Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors

- Work collaboratively as part of a 4-man engineering team

- Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in line with company and site procedures

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and remedial works

Requirements

- Electrically qualified – City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent (Essential)

- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (Essential)

- Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates

- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance

- Previous experience working within a commercial FM environment

- Multi-skilled with a good understanding of general building services

- Good communication skills

- Client-facing experience
