Summary

Your role will involve the following: Inpatient care o Providing medical management for all ENT patients at the John Radcliffe hospital Emergency ENT service o Including 1 in 8 on-call covering the ENT SHO bleep, managing referrals internally (from A&E and other wards) and externally (from primary care and referring hospitals) o Assessing and managing patients on the GP Referral Unit (acute ENT referrals) Outpatient care o Nasal fracture clinic o General ENT clinics 2 per week o Specialist rhinology clinic 1 per week (One stop Sinusitis / Transcranial Trauma/Combined Airway Clinic Theatres o 2 all day lists per week in rhinology with the opportunity to attend joint cases at other times with ophthalmology/plastics/neurosurgery. These will be shared with the SpR and it is expected that the fellow will do some teaching. In addition, there will be opportunities to be involved in the following for educational and training purposes: Departmental teaching sessions Clinical Governance meetings Audit, Research and Quality Improvement There is plenty of support to participate in projects within the department.
