Summary

1. Communication and Relationship Skills Communicate highly complex, sensitive and sometimes contentious information to staff, service users, carers, senior managers and partner organisations. Chair and participate in meetings, governance forums, case reviews and service development groups. Use negotiation, influencing and conflict resolution skills to gain agreement on service improvements, workforce issues and quality initiatives. Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of service objectives. 2. Knowledge, Training and Experience Registered healthcare professional with a degree-level qualification and current professional registration. Extensive experience within mental health services, including leadership and operational management responsibilities. Specialist knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding, quality improvement, performance management and community mental health services. Demonstrates ongoing professional development and application of evidence-based practice. 3. Analytical and Judgemental Skills Analyse complex clinical, operational and workforce information to support decision making. Interpret performance, quality and risk information and identify areas requiring improvement. Exercise sound judgement when responding to incidents, safeguarding concerns, complaints and service pressures. Develop solutions where information may be incomplete or conflicting. 4. Planning and Organisational Skills Plan and coordinate a range of operational, quality improvement and workforce activities across services.
