The company operates from multiple locations across England and supports the movement of temperature-controlled food products for a range of customers.The roleWe are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a night-shift operation in Chesterfield on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for completing deliveries safely, efficiently and on time while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.Key responsibilities• Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle on planned delivery routes• Completing night-time deliveries and collections• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each shift• Ensuring loads are secure and handled correctly• Operating refrigerated equipment as required• Completing delivery paperwork and using digital tachograph systems• Communicating professionally with depot teams and customers• Following road safety, transport and site proceduresSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 licence, also known as LGV C+E• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)• Valid digital tachograph driver card• Previous HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred• Experience in chilled or temperature-controlled distribution is advantageous• Good knowledge of UK roads and transport regulations• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently• Professional approach and good communication skillsBenefits• £18 per hour• Night-shift work• Paid every Wednesday• Local employer visibility• Refrigeration and operational training may be availableApply today.
