Summary

We're looking for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join our team covering the Anglian Water region.

Location: Covering the Anglian Water region Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Northampton, Norfolk and East Essex Hours: Permanent, full time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll take overall ownership of commercial performance across an allocated portfolio. You'll lead and develop the commercial team, protect Kier's contractual entitlement, and ensure reliable forecasting, reporting, cash management and margin performance. Working closely with operational leadership and clients, you'll drive improvements, manage risk and support successful delivery and growth.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them in delivering excellent commercial performance and governance. Your day to day will include:

-Leading, managing and developing the commercial team, setting clear responsibilities and standards

-Reviewing and assuring CVRs, forecasts, applications, cash reporting and margin performance before submission

-Leading recovery strategies for withheld and under-certified value, agreeing clear contractual routes and evidence

-Overseeing NEC3 contracts, compensation events, change registers and ensuring compliance across the portfolio

-Maintaining effective senior relationships with clients, presenting clear commercial positions and resolving issues constructively

What are we looking for?

This role of Managing Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:

-You have a relevant Quantity Surveying qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience, with substantial experience at Managing Quantity Surveyor level

-You have strong practical knowledge of NEC contracts, including experience with ECC and PSC Options

-You have proven ability to lead, organise and develop a commercial team and manage performance constructively

-You have strong capability in forecasting, CVR, cash management, change control, procurement and final accounts

-You have strong client-facing, negotiation, reporting, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
