Assignment Title: Register Services Officer (AO)
Location: Newport NP10 8QQ) - Hybrid (minimum 20% in office)
Working Days / Hours: 9-5 monday to friday 37 hours
Working Pattern:

Our Client is hiring an AO Register Services Officer to process updates to the Patent/Trade Mark/Design registers and help ensure records are correct, compliant, and delivered with clear customer communication.
What you'll be doing:
* Examine newly filed Trade Mark recordal forms and associated legal documentation to ensure they meet the required legal standards for filing
* Review newly filed Design recordal forms and associated documentation to confirm compliance with legal requirements
* Accurately update the relevant registers using information provided on the forms
* Where issues arise, contact customers by letter/email/telephone to flag deficiencies or anomalies, and suggest appropriate next steps
* Explain decisions reached in a professional, customer-friendly way (verbally and/or in writing)
* Investigate and respond to gaps, errors, and irregularities in information
* Answer telephone calls promptly and provide constructive advice to maintain a high standard of customer care
* Take notes from call content and annotate cases when necessary
* Respond to emails sent to the Recordals email account within 24 hours (on a rota basis)
* After training, support the Customer Support Centre by answering calls and emails and helping other teams as needed
