Administrative Officer (AO) - The Law Courts
Location: Newport (NP20 4PR)
Working Days / Hours: 37 hours a week
Working Pattern: monday to friday 9-5 *office based but hybrid will be offered when the client feels you are fully trained*
Pay Rate: £12.86ph

Our Client is hiring for a reputed client and you'll be supporting the smooth running of Courts, Tribunals and related offices within HMCTS-where "right first time" service and continuous improvement are part of everyday work.
What you'll be doing:
* Prepare papers, files and court/tribunal documents for hearings, meetings and day-to-day administration
* Maintain and update records and complete data input on an in-house computer system
* Support post opening and dispatch, including scheduling and preparation of meeting rooms, agendas and joining instructions
* Draft standard letters and correspondence, as well as minutes/notes/reports according to guidelines
* Clerking civil and family courts/tribunals and hearings, including ensuring materials are up to date for remote attendance using audio/video systems
* Handle face-to-face, written and telephone enquiries, supporting court users and relevant parties
* Assist with listing and rota management, file checking and scheduling activity
* Process casework and court documentation accurately, interpreting information required on a court file
* Verify and cross-check documents, records, claims and returns against criteria for approval and onward reporting
* Support basic calculations/statistical analysis, chase information and assemble bundles for meetings as required
* Contribute to team information board (TIB) meetings and support problem-solving and small projects using continuous improvement approaches

* Confidence working to guidelines and systems (SOPS), with discretion and initiative where appropriate

* Comfortable handling a busy, operational environment with variety across administration and case support
