Quality Inspector
Location: Southport

About the Role
We are looking for the right candidate to join our Quality Department as a Quality Inspector. Reporting to the Team Leader you
will be responsible for inspecting and testing of products to specifications prior to final dispatch to the customer. Any issues
or non-conformance to standards / specifications would be escalated to the Senior Quality Engineer for review and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of your key responsibilities, you’ll:
* Complete quality and functional testing on Rail and Traffic products prior to despatch
* Test products in accordance to established quality procedures
* Complete Goods In quality inspections on supplied products ensuring compliance to drawings and specifications
* Accurately record all Quality Control test results
* Actively participate in the department supporting continual improvement
* Liaison with operational team members, warehouse and Production Team Leaders ensuring that appropriate inspection and testing
is undertaken and technical documentation is controlled.
About you:

* Can read and interpret technical drawings
* GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent Grade A-C)
* High level of accuracy with excellent attention to detail
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Good level of computer literacy
* Competent in using measuring and test equipment
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* An HNC in Mechanical /Electrical / QA Engineering would be highly desirable
