Summary

Key Responsibilities: Lead the digital and face to face patient access across all practice sites, ensuring a consistent and high-quality patient experience. Effective management of demand and capacity, appointment utilisation, patient navigation processes and access performance, ensuring services remain aligned to contractual requirements, patient need and organisational priorities. Ensure services are delivered safely, effectively and efficiently, while meeting contractual, regulatory and quality standards. The role will also provide operational leadership for clinical workforce planning, GP rota management, GP liaison, and coordination of registrar, trainee and medical student placements. Working closely with clinical and operational leaders, the postholder will ensure effective deployment of clinical resources and operational resilience across the organisation. The post holder will support the Board, Directors and Senior Leadership Team in all aspects of practice operations, implementation of organisational priorities, and delivery of service transformation programmes. They will lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams, manage performance against key objectives and contribute to the successful delivery of Beacon Medical Groups strategic objectives. To provide operational leadership for Patient Access Teams (including the Front of House and Care Navigation Teams) across all practice locations Oversee patient demand, activity and capacity management across clinical services. Ensure effective utilisation of appointments through continuous review of access performance, appointment demand and patient flow. Lead the delivery of agreed patient access strategies and service improvement initiatives that that improve patient outcomes and operational performance. Undertake review and audit of appointment activity, demand trends and utilisation data, making recommendations for operational improvements. Lead projects that support access improvement, efficiency and patient experience. Oversee clinical workforce planning and rota management processes across the organisation. Ensure GP, Registrar, Trainee and Medical Student programmes are effectively coordinated and operationally supported. Coordinate medical student and registrar inductions, timetables and placements, maintaining effective relationships with external training providers and deaneries Maintain the Learning Organisation Approval (LOA) requirements and associated documentation. Establish and monitor KPIs for all managed services, ensuring continuous service improvement and accountability. Lead operational responses to service pressures, workforce shortages and business continuity incidents. Provide leadership and support to managers, team leaders and service leads across designated service areas Provide day to day operational management support to salaried GP staff, including being the main point of contact, induction planning and supporting HR processes such as absence management.
