Summary

Team Leader / Trainee Team Leader

Location: London, N9

Pay: £14.15 per hour as a Trainee Team Leader

Qualified Team Leader: £14.70 per hour

Overtime: Paid at 150% of the basic rate, subject to terms and conditions

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off

Industry: Waste / Recycling / Production

Training: Full training provided

About the Role:

Smart Solutions are recruiting for a Trainee Team Leader / Team Leader to join our client's busy production operation in London.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous team leading experience who is looking to develop their skills within a production, waste or recycling environment.

Full training will be provided, with the opportunity to progress from Trainee Team Leader (£14.15 per hour) to Team Leader (£14.70 per hour) once fully trained and competent in the role.

Working Pattern:

The role operates on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern

. 2 day shifts

. 2 night shifts

. Followed by 4 days off

. Day shifts: 8:00am – 7:00pm

. Night shifts: 8:00pm – 7:00am

Please note that shift start/end times may operate as 7:00am/8:00am – 7:00pm for days and 7:00pm/8:00pm – 7:00am for nights, depending on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

. Supervise production activities during the shift

. Ensure shift KPIs and operational action plans are met and exceeded where

possible

. Support the smooth and efficient running of the production operation

. Mentor, monitor and support new starters

. Deliver practical training to new employees

. Train team members on picking techniques and picking priorities

. Ensure employees understand and follow Health & Safety procedures

. Motivate and support the team to achieve daily targets

. Monitor performance and provide guidance where required

. Lead by example and maintain a positive working environment

. Report any operational, performance or Health & Safety issues to management

Pay & Benefits:

. Trainee Team Leader: £14.15 per hour

. Team Leader: £14.70 per hour

. Overtime available when required

. Overtime paid at 150% of the basic rate

. 4 on / 4 off shift pattern

. Full training provided

. Opportunity to progress into a fully qualified Team Leader position
