We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Housing Advisor (SO2) to join our Housing team. In this role, you will provide expert advice and support to individuals and families facing housing-related challenges, helping them to find sustainable and safe living solutions. The Housing Advisor will serve as a key resource for clients, offering guidance on housing options, tenancy rights, and assistance programs. You will work closely with local authorities, housing providers, and community organizations to ensure that clients receive appropriate services and support. This position requires a strong understanding of housing laws, policies, and social care frameworks, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be empathetic, patient, and able to manage complex cases involving vulnerable people. Responsibilities
Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on housing options and tenancy rights.
Assess clients’ housing needs and develop tailored support plans to address those needs.
Liaise with landlords, housing associations, and local authorities to secure appropriate accommodation.
Support clients through the application process for social housing and housing benefit schemes.
Advocate on behalf of clients to resolve disputes, prevent homelessness, and maintain tenancy sustainability.
Maintain accurate records and case notes in compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic support services for clients.
Deliver workshops and informational sessions about housing rights, responsibilities, and available resources.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £23.51
Location: South London
