Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
• A genuine passion for sport and working with young people, with experience in a sports-related environment and a commitment to promoting health, fitness and wellbeing.
• A confident communicator and engaging leader, able to present to groups, lead activities and motivate students to get involved and achieve their best.
• Strong subject knowledge, supported by a Level 3+ Sport qualification and ideally a degree in Sport, Sport Science, Coaching, Strength &Conditioning or a related discipline.
• Experience of teaching, coaching or delivering Sport or Uniformed Services would be an advantage, but we’re equally keen to hear from those ready to take their first step into teaching.
• Well organised, adaptable and proactive, with the confidence to use your initiative, manage competing priorities and respond positively to new challenges.
• Committed to your own professional development, with a willingness to work towards a Level 5 teaching qualification and other relevant qualifications, including Gym/Fitness Instructing and Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Expedition Skills, where required.
