Nursing Home Manager

Up to £70,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week

 

Take the lead of a new addition to an established care group - Set within beautiful surroundings, this home offers spacious, high-quality accommodation designed to provide older adults with a comfortable and welcoming place to live. With an environment already created to an exceptional standard, the focus now is on finding an experienced Nursing Home Manager who can bring strong leadership and ensure the quality of care matches the surroundings.

 

We’re ideally looking for a nurse-qualified Manager, although the most important requirement is significant experience successfully managing a nursing home and a strong understanding of what it takes to deliver safe, person-centred and consistently high-quality care.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Nursing Home Manager experience – essential

  • Ideally

    RGN or RMN qualified with an active NMC registration, will consider a Level 5 Health and Social Care

  • Strong experience supporting older adults within a nursing home environment

  • Thorough knowledge of

    CQC regulations, safeguarding and regulatory compliance

  • A strong track record of maintaining and improving care standards

  • Experience leading, developing and retaining high-performing teams

  • Confidence overseeing staffing, occupancy, budgets and the wider operation of a home

  • Strong understanding of clinical governance and quality assurance

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • A visible, supportive and resident-focused leadership style

Leading the Home

  • Take overall responsibility for the clinical, operational and financial performance of the home

  • Establish a positive culture and clear standards as the home becomes part of the wider group

  • Lead, motivate and develop nursing, care and support teams

  • Ensure residents receive consistently high-quality, person-centred care

  • Maintain strong standards across CQC compliance, safeguarding and clinical governance

  • Oversee staffing, recruitment, retention and team development

  • Manage occupancy, budgets and resources effectively

  • Drive continuous improvement across care quality and resident experience

  • Build strong relationships with residents, families and external professionals

  • Ensure the home provides an environment where residents feel comfortable, respected and genuinely at home
