The summer holidays are already a distant memory, and the demand for Maths teachers is showing no signs of slowing down!

At Hays Education, we have seen long-term vacancies arrive even faster than they did at the same stage last September. I currently work with 14 secondary schools across Kirklees, including schools in Huddersfield and Batley, and I am looking to connect with talented Teachers of Maths for a range of exciting long-term opportunities.Last year alone, I successfully placed 10+ Maths teachers into long-term roles across Kirklees, and with schools already recruiting, I'm expecting similar demand this academic year. Many of these positions are paid to scale, offer excellent support, and come with the potential to become permanent appointments.

The RoleAs a Teacher of Maths, you will:

Deliver engaging and inspiring Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with some opportunities at Key Stage 5.

Develop students' confidence and understanding of Mathematics.

Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that enables all pupils to achieve their potential.

Assess, monitor and support student progress.

Contribute to the wider life and success of the school community.

What We're Looking For

A recognised UK teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).

Experience teaching the Maths curriculum within the last three years.

Strong classroom management skills and a passion for Mathematics.

The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.

A professional, reliable and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
