Summary

Full-time | Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm

Salary: £27,500 / Year

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our small and growing team.

This is a varied, hands-on role combining warehouse work with garment customisation, stock control, local deliveries and general customer support. The successful candidate will primarily work within our warehouse and production operation, but will have the opportunity to learn a broad range of skills and become involved in different areas of the business.

Previous experience in embroidery, garment printing or PPE is not essential. We are more interested in finding someone dependable, organised and willing to learn.

The role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch

Receiving and processing incoming goods

Checking, counting and helping to maintain accurate stock levels

Operating industrial embroidery machines and heat presses to customise workwear and uniforms

Preparing and assembling individual wearer uniform packs

Booking and preparing goods for carrier collection

Maintaining a tidy, organised and efficient warehouse and production area

Monitoring embroidery and heat-press consumables and assisting with routine machine maintenance

Using our stock, order-processing and other company software systems

As you develop within the role, you may also become involved in:

Delivering orders to customers using the company vehicle

Visiting customer sites to replenish PPE vending machines and consignment stock

Counting and checking customer stock on site

Preparing simple artwork files for embroidery, printing and garment badging

Assisting with customer enquiries by telephone or email

Supporting other areas of the business when required

The role is deliberately varied, so we are looking for somebody who is happy to turn their hand to different tasks and adjust priorities when needed.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable, punctual and conscientious

Positive and keen to learn new skills

Well organised with good attention to detail

Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team

Able to manage several tasks and re-prioritise when required

Confident with basic computer systems and willing to learn new software

A good written and verbal communicator

Comfortable with the manual handling normally associated with a warehouse environment

Must possess a full clean UK driving licence

Experience within a warehouse, production, embroidery, garment decoration or similar environment would be useful, but is not essential. Full training will be provided for the right person.

What we offer

Monday to Friday working – no regular weekend work

Working hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm, with a one-hour unpaid lunch break

Statutory holiday entitlement

Workplace pension

Training on industrial embroidery and garment-decoration equipment

Training on our stock and business software systems

A varied role within a friendly, established and growing business

Genuine opportunity to develop your responsibilities as your knowledge and experience grow

This position would suit someone who enjoys practical work but does not want to spend every day doing exactly the same thing. You will become an important part of a small team and gain experience across warehouse operations, garment customisation, stock management, deliveries and customer service.

Applications should include a short CV along with covering letter detailing why you think you are well suited to this particular role.
