We're looking for an Installation Mechanical Engineer who will support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of industrial effluent and wastewater treatment equipment across customer sites throughout the UK.
Role Responsibilities:• Install, assemble and commission industrial wastewater and effluent treatment equipment, including DAF units, disc filters, pumps, valves, mixers and pipework systems.• Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, levelling and positioning of process equipment in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications.• Conduct site surveys, equipment inspections, testing and troubleshooting activities to ensure successful project delivery and commissioning.• Liaise with project managers, electrical engineers, subcontractors and clients to coordinate installation projects safely and efficiently.• Complete installation documentation, commissioning records, risk assessments and maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.• HNC/HND, NVQ Level 3, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.• Proven experience installing mechanical process equipment within industrial effluent treatment, water treatment, wastewater treatment, or similar process industries.• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs and technical documentation, with strong mechanical fitting and troubleshooting skills.• Knowledge of health and safety legislation, permit-to-work systems and risk assessment procedures.• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites throughout the UK.
