We are currently recruiting for a reliable School Catering Assistant to work within a primary school in Burgess Hill.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for part-time, school-hours work, working between 10:00am and 2:00pm.

The Role

You will support the school catering team with the preparation and service of meals to pupils and staff, helping to ensure the kitchen and dining areas operate safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Typical duties will include:

Assisting with the preparation of food and school meals

Serving meals to pupils and staff

Setting up and clearing down the dining area

Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment

Cleaning kitchen surfaces and food preparation areas

Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene

Supporting the wider catering team as required

Following all food safety and health & safety procedures
