Summary
Room Leader – Level 3
£33,000 per year | 40 Hours per Week
Beautifully converted into a welcoming Early Years setting, this nursery combines characterful indoor spaces with extensive outdoor areas designed for exploration. The large garden, sandpit and mud kitchen give children plenty of opportunities to get messy, experiment and learn through hands-on experiences, with an approach that encourages them to be inquisitive, creative and confident.
As Room Leader, you’ll bring that approach to life within your room while supporting your team to create engaging experiences around the children’s interests and development.
What We’re Looking For
A
full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
Previous experience within a nursery or Early Years setting
Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or similar experience would be beneficial
Strong knowledge of the
EYFS and child development
Confidence leading, supporting and motivating a room team
A creative approach to planning experiences around children’s interests
Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection
Strong communication skills with children, families and colleagues

Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of your room
Lead and support practitioners to deliver consistently high-quality Early Years experiences
Encourage children to question, explore, imagine and discover
Plan engaging experiences around children’s individual interests and developmental needs
Make full use of the nursery’s indoor environments and extensive outdoor spaces
Support children’s confidence, independence and social development
Observe progress and ensure meaningful next steps are identified
Build positive relationships with parents and carers
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing
