Summary

Working alongside teachers and other professionals, you'll help pupils access learning, build confidence, develop independence and achieve meaningful progress both in and beyond the classroom.This is a rewarding role where every day brings the opportunity to make a genuine difference. Whether you're supporting a pupil to communicate their thoughts, celebrating a breakthrough in learning, encouraging resilience or helping a young person achieve something they once thought impossible, your contribution will have a lasting impact.What you'll be doingSupporting pupils to access learning and achieve their individual goals.Delivering learning activities for individuals and small groups, helping pupils build confidence, skills and independence.Adapting resources and approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs.Supporting the development of communication, literacy, numeracy, life skills and personal development.Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and acting as a consistent and supportive role model.Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and independence.Supporting pupils with personal care, health and physical needs where required.Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and other professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.Contributing to educational visits, enrichment activities and the wider life of the school.Playing an active role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.Who we're looking forExperience of working with children or young people.A patient, caring and compassionate individual who puts children at the centre of everything they do.Someone who can build positive relationships and help pupils feel safe, valued and understood.A positive, resilient and flexible team player who responds calmly to challenges.Strong communication and organisational skills.A commitment to inclusion and helping every child achieve their potential.A willingness to learn, develop and embrace new approaches.Experience supporting children and young people with SEND would be an advantage, but most importantly we're looking for someone with the right values, attitude and commitment.About Enable Trust:Our mission is “working together passionately to achieve the best outcomes in our specialised SEND and Alternative Provision settings”.
