Are you confident providing 2:1 support to a non-verbal student with autism?

Are you a patient and compassionate Care Assistant who can provide consistent support within a home environment?

TeacherActive is proud to be supporting a student based in their home in Stourport-on-Severn who requires dedicated 2:1 care and support. The student has autism, is non-verbal and has Severe Learning Difficulties / SLD, requiring a patient and consistent approach to help them feel safe and supported.

The successful Care Assistant will work on a long-term basis for 3 hours per day, providing 2:1 support within the student's home. The Care Assistant will be expected to understand the student's individual needs, support their communication and wellbeing, and provide reliable and consistent care throughout each session.

The successful Care Assistant will have:

• Relevant care, support or SEND qualifications are desirable

• Experience supporting children or young people with SLD and autism

• Experience supporting non-verbal individuals

• Confidence providing individualised care and 2:1 support

• Strong communication skills

• A patient, compassionate and adaptable approach
