TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Kidderminster that has a dedicated Autism Resource Base. The school is committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child receives the individual support they need to succeed, helping pupils to build confidence, develop independence and achieve their personal goals.
The school is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant on a temporary, day-to-day basis from September 2026. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work within the Autism Resource Base, supporting children with Autism / ASD, ADHD and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), while adapting learning activities to meet individual needs and encouraging pupils who may find learning in a mainstream setting challenging.
The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting children with Autism / ASD, ADHD and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Experience working with children who require additional support within a mainstream school environment
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach to supporting learning and behaviour
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A flexible and proactive attitude
- A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding process
- CPD Courses and certificates as part of the My-Progression channel
