Position
We are looking for a Health Fitness and Leisure Assistant to join our team at Henshaws Specialist College in Harrogate. This is a rewarding and hands on role supporting learners with a range of disabilities to access our sports and fitness centre. This role would suit someone who is compassionate, proactive and committed to helping others achieve their potential.
Your duties will include:
Lifeguarding swimming lessons
General tidying and cleaning of the gym and pool areas.
Helping to keep the Health & Leisure Centre clean, safe and welcoming for students and guests.
Assisting with general day-to-day duties around the centre.
Some weekend working will be required.
We can also support you in completing a Pool Plant Room Operator Course, giving you the opportunity to develop additional skills and responsibilities within the leisure centre.
Salary: £13.05 per hour/ £13,572 per annum based on 20 hours
Hours per week: 16 - 20
Shift pattern: Monday–Sunday
Weeks per year 52
Annual leave: 5 weeks plus 10 bank holiday days, pro rated
Contract: Permanent
Location: Henshaws College, Harrogate
Closing Date: 14th September 2026 - 12 Noon
