Summary
To provide a comprehensive service in the specialised area. To provide clinical expertise at an advanced level in the assessment, diagnosis andmanagement of highly complex clients. To provide specialist input to strategic planning, development, audit and evaluation of clinicalservices, protocols and policies within the specialised area. To ensure service provision in the specialised area is prioritised and service delivery is madeeffectively within resource constraints. To practice within the multidisciplinary team, providing specialist assessments, diagnosis andtreatment using advanced clinical reasoning skills. To manage a caseload of clients (often varied and with highly complex needs), usingevidence based clinical reasoning to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. To provide leadership and clinical education for senior, junior and support staff, throughsupervision and day-to-day support. To plan and implement training at a uni-disciplinary and multi professional level in order toenhance services within the specialism and ensure effective clinical practice. To carry out appraisals with junior and support staff, as delegated by Line Manager. To regularly supervise undergraduate students on practice placement and participate inplacement experience of other professionals. To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching topromote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries. It is an essential requirement of the role that the post holders have a valid driving licence and can meet the travel requirements of the posts.
