Summary

Smart Solutions are recruiting for Recycling Operatives to join a busy recycling facility in the Newport, NP11 area.

This is a hands-on role supporting the safe and efficient operation of the plant, with a strong focus on housekeeping, cleanliness and keeping working areas clear and organised.

Main Duties:

. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping across the site

. Sweep and keep plant floors clean and tidy throughout the shift

. Collect and remove loose waste, debris and recyclable materials

. Keep walkways, access routes and emergency exits clear

. Maintain clean and organised areas around machinery and processing equipment

. Sort and move waste and recyclable materials to designated areas

. Use brooms, brushes and other cleaning equipment safely

. Identify and report spillages, hazards, damaged equipment or unsafe conditions

. Support plant operatives with general duties as required

. Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and wear the required PPE

. Carry out other reasonable duties to support the safe running of the plant
