Based primarily at Leeds General Infirmary, with cross-site support provided to St James’s University Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting consultants, trainees and managers, helping to ensure the smooth delivery of anaesthetic services across the Trust. A key aspect of the role will involve coordinating and maintaining complex anaesthetic rotas, working closely with clinical and operational teams to support service delivery and patient care. This is a fast-paced and varied role that requires excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can manage competing priorities, work independently using their own initiative and build effective working relationships with a wide range of clinical and non-clinical colleagues. In return, you will join a supportive team and have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the efficient running of one of the Trust’s largest clinical specialties. What you will bring to the role The successful candidate must have previous experience working within an administrative setting and a positive, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to provide comprehensive administrative support. The post holder will need to prioritise their workload, be able to work under their own initiative and be proactive in identifying administrative tasks that require completion. They will be competent in Microsoft Office applications and be able to support with a variety of health rosters, absence monitoring, arranging meetings, experience of using databases and spreadsheets to manage and report information, ordering supplies, updating distribution lists, action trackers and minute taking.
