Among the main duties of the role Promote and maintains safety, privacy, and dignity of all patients in the delivery of patient centred care, recognising and respecting differences including spiritual and cultural beliefs. Acts, wherever applicable, in accordance with the Mental Health Act, duty of candour and associated policies and procedures. Acts as named nurse for patients and hold responsibility for the development of the care documents for those patients and others in the absence of their named nurse. Contributes to the planning, co-ordination and evaluation of clinical interventions to challenging and complex behaviours such as self-harm and aggression.
