We're looking for a passionate and motivatedBand 6 Deputy Sister/Charge Nurseto join our exceptionalPaediatric Critical Care teamat Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH).

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills within a specialist service caring for critically ill children from across Oxfordshire, the Thames Valley and Wessex region. You'll play a key role in delivering outstanding patient and family-centred care while supporting and leading a highly skilled multidisciplinary team.

• You'll be at the heart of delivering exceptional care for critically ill children and their families by:

• Providing clinical leadership and expert nursing care within Paediatric Critical Care.

• Promoting and delivering outstanding family-centred care.

• Leading and supporting nursing teams to ensure high standards of patient safety and experience.

• Working closely with medical, nursing and allied health professionals across the multidisciplinary team.

• Supporting the day-to-day operational management of PCCU in the absence of a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse.

• Upholding and championing the PCCU Nursing Philosophy of Care.

• Acting as a role model, mentor and leader for colleagues and junior staff.

Senior Nurses within PCCU at Band 6 and above have the opportunity to work across the retrieval and outreach services in addition to PCCU on a roster basis on completion of appropriate competencies.

As a recognised Major Trauma Centreand specialistNeurosurgical Centre, we provide highly specialised care for some of the region's most complex and critically ill children.
