Summary

Job Description

This post is currently being advertised as a temporary position for an initial period of six months; however, this may be subject to review. The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including 7:00am to 3:00pm, 2:30pm to 10:00pm, and overnight sleepover shifts from 11:00pm to 7:00am.

Applicants should have experience of working within a residential setting supporting adults with learning disabilities. Previous experience in providing person-centred support and promoting independence would be advantageous.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to work toward continuous improvement of the post for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

Requirements

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

This post will require you to have obtained SSSC registration within 3 months of employment.

This post has a minimum requirement of two references, one of these must be your current or most recent employer.
