About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Bookkeeper to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of day-to-day bookkeeping and delivering accurate financial information to support business decision-making.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing month-end processes, and ensuring all accounting activities are completed accurately and on time. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will play an important role in supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Produce monthly management accounts.
Prepare and process accounting journals, including accruals and prepayments.
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
Manage month-end and year-end accounting activities.
Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Monitor cash flow and contribute to financial forecasting.
Oversee sales and purchase ledger activities.
Maintain and update fixed asset records.
Support budgeting processes and provide financial analysis when required.
Assist with year-end accounts preparation and external audit requirements.
Prepare financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
Process payroll and ensure all related submissions are completed accurately and on time.
